64-bit does have a different driver architecture.   I thought that Ed
used the manufacturer's driver interface.  I asked Lasersoft if they
would be supplying 64-bit drivers for the SS 120 and received a negative
response but I can remember whether they gave a reason.  I wonder if an
after market firm would be interested in providing drivers for abandoned
products?  Probably not worth the effort to them.
