[filmscanners] Re: JPEG2000

I tried it with a 110mb file. It took like 68 seconds to save to a 27mb
file. Not bad for a 4:1 ratio (PIII, 731mhz)

I then took the same file and archive it using WinAce. That 114mb file was
compressed to a 19mb file but it took over 4 minutes.

So for me, JPEG2000 is okay. Only one question remains: is it truly lossless
?
Thanks
Andre
