[filmscanners] Re: Polaroid Dust and Scratch Removal



The plug in really isn't the same program as the stand alone.  I was
trying to get the coders to make the stand alone work as a plug in
within PS so that the PS tools could be used within it, which would make
it much more functional when wanting to do manual work on a scratch or
area..

I suspect this whole project was derailed as a result of the chapter 11
issues coming to an end and the restructuring process.  Maybe once
things are settled, the program will be brought back into active coding.
  I think it has a lot of potential as a salable product if it is taken
to the next step.

I don't know if Windows plug ins are the same as Mac within PS, but they
may be, in which case it would be worth trying to install the filter by
itself into the Mac PS filter drawer and see if it works.  That still
won't provide the stand alone, but the plug in is a lot faster, probably
in part due to the limitations of its functionality.
