[filmscanners] Re: The weakest link



The most important is the scanner so that your input is of the best quality 
possible.  You can always visually compensate for a poor monitor.  You can 
always work on the image with whatever software you prefer.  And if your 
printer is not good enough you can send it out for printing.

Which compnent is the weakest link in choosing an image manipulation system:
Is it the Video Card, The Software, The Scanner or the Printer?
If I buy a high spec filmscanner how can I guarantee the best result at the
other end i.e. is the scanner most cuicial and thereofre anything else can
prove to be a weak link. When a new printer comes along would my scanner
then become the weak point depriving me from the chance of a perfect result?
