Re: filmscanners: A Good Epson Customer Service Story

I did have a HP flatbed that failed 2 months out of warranty. When I
contacted HP about it,after diagnosing that it was a scanner fault, they
sent a brand new next generation model free, including prepaid shipping and
all packing materials for returning the old scanner.
You certainly can't ask much more than this! But it would be nice if they
would supply the HP precision scan software for Win 2k for free, instead of
on a CD for $10, but then there is Vuescan so I don't miss it, and the copy
function still works fine.
I guess you win a few and you lose a few.
