Not sure exactly how this might apply to a Windows environment, but....
On my system 9.2 Mac w/Sprintscan 120, Vuescan can not access firewire properly
with
Polaroid Insight firewire drivers installed;
you have to rip all the Polaroid junk out of the system folder.
