Thanks both for the replies.

The transparencies are 4"x5" and 6x7cm, (120 roll film).

The Epson site lists the following Macintosh Requirements for the 3200.

        *iMac or any G3 or G4 with built-in USB.
        USB: Mac OS 8.6 to 9.x, OS X 10.1.3 or later.
        IEEE 1394 (FireWire): Mac OS 8.6 to 9.x
        (FireWire updater 2.1 or later required),

Does anyone know if USB and Firewire has to be on the motherboard? In other 
words, will the Epson 3200 scanner work if USB and FW are on PCI cards, (in a 
PM 9500)?
