[filmscanners] Re: CMS and color space on Nikon 4000ED

From: "Alex Z" <alexzfoto@yahoo.com>
Once begining my scanning experience I set scanner's output format as
Adobe 98 RGB, do all the necessary editing in PS7, and save for an
archive as Adobe 98 RGB either.
>

Ok, but the files are tagged "Nikon Adobe 1998" out of the scanner. Do
you leave that as is or convert to the standard "Adobe RGB 1998" ... and
why? I guess they're meant to be similar, but I wonder if there's any
harm "converting" the profile to the standard Adobe one?

Am I right in assuming that the profile conversion should be done before
any PS editing, or (in the case above) does it matter?
