Exactly my question...left unanswered on many lists, except by a parrot of
what Foveon says...though Karl provided possibly some interesting insight.
I must read the actual patents...though the problem with that, is their
actual device may differ from the patent...intentionally.  They only
patented enough to get the patent and “lock” certain aspects of the
technology down...not an unwise or unusual thing to expect for a “new”
technology.
