If you want to know more about Silverfast HDR, their website Silverfast.com
seems the best place to start! HDR stands for High Dynamic Range, and the
program was introduced to allow Silverfast to operate with High-bit images.
You scan the image using your normal scanner software with colormanagement
OFF, and save the raw high-bit file as a tiff. Then you can open it in HDR
and process it.

Ian Lyons has a whole article about how to use Silverfast HDR on his website
at Computer Darkroom.
