[filmscanners] Re: VueScan IR cleaning



Howard, I don't know about the post-processing query, but as for the
regular VS Clean mode, yes you need to go with 64 bit RGBI. Ed says its
effectiveness requires the best data it can get, and it does seem to work
at least as well as ICE. You don't have to save the huge file after the
scan is done, you can archive in a less bulky mode, so no great harm done.
It just takes a little longer to scan, but lots less than cloning out the mess.
