Yes it does. The trouble is that yyyymmdd_clientname is fine as a volume
name for clients but much harder to read than a simple number sequence
which would be better for my storage and retrieval of the CD's. Portfolio
is fine, I can find anything quickly, the problem comes when trying to
locate the frigging CD... human problems, not software.

BTW, I've been reminded by an off-list mail that the pens I use are Pilot
permanent markers. I'd forgotten the brand, but that is what they are.
They do seem excellent, but don't leave the cap off for longer than
necessary:-
