In my experience any modern machine, be it Apple, Intel, or AMD
with a gig or more of RAM and a couple of big disks will do the job
quite nicely for most digital darkroom applications.

Making a business to supply specialized 'digital darkroom machines' might
be difficult. Contemporary general purpose desktop machines suffice many
digital image makers needs.
