[filmscanners] Re: Any opinions on Nikon Coolscan 3 LS-30?

Count me as another very pleased LS-30 user. To get the best out of it, you need
to understand the capabilities of the hardware and the software -- but the same
is true of any scanner.

I have had no trouble with the motorised Strip Film Adapter (SA-20), but it does
not hold the film as flat as the Strip Film Holder (FH-2) which I usually
prefer.

I generally use the Nikon software (Nikonscan) which is very convenient, but
sometimes resort to Vuescan when I want to get the most out of a difficult
original.
