[filmscanners] Re: Polaroid Dust and Scratch Removal
Simon,
Yes, I seem to recall that... so what do they use for the extension for
filters then... I assume PS has a filter folder so what's inside of it?
There should be a bunch of files with similar extensions on them.
SInce photoshop offers the same filters in both Mac and PC versions, the
names should be something like:
In PhotoshopX.X\Plug-Ins\filters
Lens Flare.XXX
Mezzotint.XXX
Pointillize.XXX
Solarize.XXX
SmartBlur.XXX
Wave.XXX
Variations.XXX
etc, etc,...
Or there is another file folder found in the PC version under:
PhotoshopX.X\Plug-Ins\Effects
Containing files like:
Accented Edges.XXX
Angled Strokes.XXX
Bas Relief.XXX
Chalk & Charcoal.XXX
Charcoal.XXX
Chrome.XXX
Colored Pencil.XXX
Conte Crayon.XXX
Craquelure.XXX
etc, etc, etc
I would think either place would allow you to actuate the Polaroid
filter/plug in, if it works with the Mac, just change the extension name
to the ones the Mac uses, and see if it at least shows up as a
filter/plug-in.
As my mother used to say "Don't make me have to come over there
and do this for you... " ;-)
