[filmscanners] Re: LS8000 scan times



No.  I get much shorter times, even for 4x, 4000-dpi, 14-bit.  Do you have
GEM or ROC turned on?  (I don't.)

Note that if you do not have a _great deal_ of RAM on your machine, even the
simplest scans may take forever.  Is the disk light on your PC flickering or
on steadily while the scan is being made?

6x6 unmounted, 1x sampling, 8-bit, 4000 dpi is taking about 20 minutes.
