I've attached below a list of the suggestions people have
made in the past few days.  If a suggestion has been made
more than once, a count is at the front of the line.

VueScan 7.4 incorporates a real-time (or near real time)
preview update (along with a scan update).  I'm guessing
that this will meet most of the needs for the histogram with
sliders, since the histogram updates as well when an
option slider is changed.  (It's difficult to explain why
this works better than putting sliders on the histogram,
but the complexities of the options that affect the
histogram make it infeasible to put the sliders directly
on the histogram).

  Remove X/Y window offsets from Prefs tab
  Auto rotate (put lightest part of frame at top)

  Sliders need incremental adjustments (wxSpinCtrl)
  Pixel radius for IR cleaning
  Map film frame numbers to file numbers
  Allow arbitrary color profiles for scanners
  Allow arbitrary color space profiles for output files
  TWAIN or Photoshop filter
  Add non-default option settings to comments field of images
  Side by side view of preview, before and after changed option
  Some options should be reset when frame number changed
  Leave message somewhere saying what last processing option was (or have log
