[filmscanners] Re: OT : No sender, was Re: Agfa woes

I am subscribed to a great number of lists and this is the only one for
which I show as recipient in the header - in all the others it is the
listname that appears, and this is the first list I have ever encountered
that differs from what I have viewed as standard practice. But I don't know
that it matters - I was just concerned that possibly some messages were not
going to the whole list, and that does not seem to be the case, and you may
as well leave the settings as they are. I do sometimes switch on all the
items in the header, but it's not normally necessary.

Which is actually correct and is how the list - any list - works.

That is, each incoming mail is received by the listserver box on my
darkroom floor, cloned ~700 times into individual mails addressed to each
of the list recipients, and then sent via MX record (direct connection to
each susbcriber's mailserver, avoiding my ISP's SMTP). So it really
truthfully is 'To:' you.

If you viewed the full header you would also see (apart from info that you
are using MS Outlook Express mail client - which tends to hide useful
header info :-) :-
