I would think Silverfast probably does already for the Nikon scanners but
have no first hand experience. When I scan with my Nikon's I use Nikonscan.

Would this be a SS4000 specific feature?  The other scanners which can only
do multi-
pass multi-scanning (and suffer more from noise) would surely benefit from
this as well.
