I don't have the scanner anymore but I was using an LS-8000 on a dual PIII 866, running W2K server w/512MB of RAM.  It also had a SCSI Ultra 160 disk sub-system.  I was able to get scans but it wasn't what I would have called stable either.  I'm going to have to build another machine relatively soon and am wondering if I shouldn't build a P4 instead of another dual-processor machine.
