RE: filmscanners: VueScan Long Exposure Pass

I was actually going to write you regarding this feature. I have a the
Dimage Scan Elite. In several of the versions, I think during the early
part of this year, it worked great. On later versions, I get problems with
odd coloration. I know there were a few versions when this code was being
optimized where it shifted from working great to having the color problem.
I would like the feature if the color problem was fixed for my scanner but
given it's current state it doesn't help me so go ahead and remove it.

Thank you for the great software and for constantly improving it.

Jim

Subject: filmscanners: VueScan Long Exposure Pass

Would anyone object if I removed the Long exposure pass
option from VueScan? It seems to have problems on most
scanners with CCD charge bleeding from overexposed pixels,
and it does more harm than good (in my opinion).

Is there any scanner that it seems to work well with?

Regards,
Ed Hamrick
