Hi Jack,

Can you explain how digital ICE can remove a fingerprint which is
embedded into the emulsion?  These fingerprints not only alter the
optical density of the image there, (which I could see infra-red
scanning being about to possible extract) but also distort the physical
positioning of the emulsion layer, redistributing the dyes.

I'd think even digital ICE has its limitations...
