Re: filmscanners: LS-30 and Windows 2000

I had the same problem after a new installation of Win 2000 pro. I called Nikon because their instructions say to install the ASPI32.exe drivers from the Adaptec site. So I went to get them from the Adaptec site and upon reading the driver info it warns you NOT to install them on a Win 2000 system or if you have some other specific software.
Confused, I called Nikon tech assist and the tech said they were well aware of the Adaptec warning but had had thousands of installs with only one problem.
So I took the leap and installed the ASPI32.exe driver and lo and behold the scanner was recognized and I have had no problems at all.
Hope this helps

Ken
