This *was* referring to a flatbed - have you ever extracted detail beyond
(or even at) 1200 dpi from a reflective original?

The Powerlook only has just over 1200 dpi resolution for normal reflective
scanning.  The 3000 dpi only applies to a narrow band for filmscanning.

Given it is US$7000, a dedicated 4000 dpi film scanner and 'lesser' flatbed
would seem to be a lot more 'budget-priced' to me..!
