[filmscanners] RE: my XP laptop is driving me crazy

of XP patch; but it is an Internet Explorer/Outlook patch.  I do not believe
that these patches automatically download as a function of the Windows XP
Update function; so you must have manually gone to the Microsoft Office
Update site and downloaded the patches or gotten them from some other
source.  If it was the former, I doubt if you would have gotten this
description as part of the download; but even if you did, it should have
been free pf any viruses and should not have come as an attachment.  If you
got this patch and attachment unsolicitied or from some other source, I
would be suspicious.

Having said this, I just checked the Microsoft web site and there is no
April 2003 Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer Service Pack 1; there is a
February 2003 Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer Service Pack 1.

This is the virus introduction that I mentioned in my last post. I have
received this one again today. There was an attachment to this which
contains the virus which I have not posted. Just how many of these con's
have you upgraded into your laptop??

known security vulnerabilities affecting Internet Explorer,
Outlook and Outlook Express as well as five newly discovered
vulnerabilities. Install now to protect your computer from these

run executable on your system. This update includes the functionality
of all previously released patches.
