[filmscanners] Re: keeping the 16bit scans; now=HD longevityOT

Since I was the first to state that I left my computer on 24/7 to save me
from hard drive failure, I need to answer to this statement.

It's wonderful to spew out ifas; wouldas; couldas; & shouldas like the rest
of the world is wrong. Pontificating as such is noble and revered by Sierra
Club members, Greenpeace organizers and environmentalists as a whole. Since
I don't adhere to the views of Arthur and I don't belong to any of the
groups aforementioned; I shall just apologize for being an energy hog and
hope that I don't use as much energy as the environmentally conscious folks
who do so much to save the planet!
That said maybe the waste of energy and fuel as well as the inordinate
amount of gases going into the earth's atmosphere from the tragedy of war in
Iraq should be scrutinized a little closer than my computer sucking up a
kilowatt a year??
This is neither a political nor environmental forum so can we at least stick
to filmscanners and stop with the soapbox fora?
Please,
Owen

Arthur, I didn't know that side of you. Totaly off topic but a very good
comment that speaks right out of my 'heart'... I wish everybody would think
that way... Bravo!

Robert
