Indeed, as I said in my previous email it's about 1/2 years that I have
tested the LuraWave codec. They have merged with Algo Vision a while back.
Last week they have bombarded me with advertising about their latest
products. So it's quite likely they have improved their codec quite a bit.
Nevertheless, I doubt that they are significantly faster then kakadu for
bitdepths lower then 12 bits. For a higher bit-depth kakadu can be improved
easily. Anyways, I am not sure if fnord is using kakadu. And if it is the
creator might have messed up. Maybe I should add that the person who
developed fnord just came out with this plug-in. It's quite likely there
will be improvements in the future.
