[filmscanners] RE: Polaroid SS4000 - Viewscan




You're right -- the SS4000 does work faster, with less "hunting" using
Insight than Vuescan (it also *sounds* different).  I haven't bothered
to clock the difference in time but it's noticeable.

Thanks Tom . . . .  I have cleaned the scanner using the supplied brush.
This seemed to have eliminated some banding issues that started to show
up
in the scans.
I am not sure the "indexing" time is a problem it just seems to take . .
.
well, time.  If I use Polaroid Insight there does not seem to be any
hunting
for the frame.  The time to the start of the scan is quicker with
insight.
