No, but that sounds like a much more reasonable price for it. For MF work,
the Nikon wasn't that much more money, and seemed more than worth the
difference. If the Minolta were $1500, they'd sell a lot more of them, both
to (potential) 8000ED users as well as (potential) 4000ED users. At that
price, Nikon's scanner division would probably go belly up...
