[filmscanners] Re: IV ED dynamic range

Charlie,

Nikon claims better 'Density Range' for the LS4000 not 'Dynamic Range'. I'm
sure Austin would tell us which is correct!!! I've forgotten already.

Bob Frost.

I don't know if your supposition about the dynamic range of the IV vs
the LS 4000 is correct or not. Test shots I've seen seem to indicate
better shadow detail for the 4000, but I don't have one and have no
experience using one.* The LS 4000, as best I can recall, "claims"
better dynamic range..... but of course all claims of dynamic range
performance are suspect.
