[filmscanners] Re: CanoScan FS-2710 and win2k

Hello Vadik,
You asked: I am thinning about getting CanoScan FS-2710, and
connect it to my
>computer with windows 2000. I heard that CanoScan FS-2710 have some
>problem with win2k. Does anyone have an experience with it?

I have an FS2710, and it suits my amateur photography very well. I use it with
W98SE on this machine, but I have also installed it on W2K. The procedure is
slightly more complicated, in that you have to have the "ASPI" support
installed as well, but it is all explained on the Canon Australia
(www.canon.com.au) site, and maybe elsewhere as well.

I use Vuescan, as it is more flexible than Canon's own software, and the grain
reduction option (and others) in Vuescan is useful too.
