[filmscanners] Re: NikonScan doesn't see my LS-4000ED



Maybe it's worth trying reinstall the TWAIN interface, this has been a
source of problems for all my scanners. I have (also since a month ago) the
Nikon SC 4000 ED which I installed correctly within W98SE; as to this date,
wereas the scanner shows up in Photoshop import menu, it does not in
Macromedia Fireworks. Why? go figure... Nikon Scan finds the scanner
anyway, so I withstand this minor trouble.

As a last resort, it may help to uninstall all software, remove the
FireWire card, reboot the computer and reinstall the card and software.
Yes, I know, that's bone-headed classic computer solution, but it works
sometimes. Sorry for not being able to provide more help.
