[filmscanners] Memory problems in Win98 [was Re: Re:Polaroid sprintscan 4000 problems]

I think that Win 98 can use much more memory than 512 MB. I am currently
using it with 1.5GB RAM without any obvious problem. BUT, if you do get
problems, Microsoft recommends that you try limiting the size of Vcache with
an entry of MaxCacheSize in System.ini of 512. If Vcache gets any bigger
(which it will if you give it more memory) it can gobble up all the
available addresses apparently. Q253912 give the remedy. This also applies
to Win95 and ME.
