I agree with both statements, but among the issues: with four extra surfaces
to clean, you will probably need ICE - or enough time on your hands. It is
perhaps a lucky coincidence that some of the scanners, which would benefit
most from the glass holders/glass mounts due to the DOF problem, are among
the ones which includes ICE.

I seem to recall that someone very recently asked Jack Phipps of ASF if ICE
worked well with glassholders - I hope it does because some of the "ICE
scanners" include glass holders or offer them as an option, but it would be
interesting to get this confirmed.
