Ed,

I was wondering why Minolta's own software takes os much longer to focus
(using the auto focusing option) than it takes in Vuescan?  ALso, I
find in manual mode, the Minolta software tend to cause the scanner to
overshoot the focus, and it takes a bit of finessing to optimize the focus.
