RE: filmscanners: Buying a scanner - from the US

Mark

how come. I thought that importing computer bits from the US into the UK
alway attracted duty.

I imported some software from the US and was charged duty by UPS. They even
charged me 10ukp for paying the customs. So buyers beware of the hidden
charges.

Thanks, but I'm not worried about that. The scanner will count as a
computer peripheral, which means that there is no import duty levied on
it.

Thanks, I'll take a look.
