filmscanners: smart sharpening tutorial

Anyone scanning negs may be interested in a 'smart sharpening' tutorial I
wrote which shows how it is possible to sharpen aggressively without
introducing noticeable artefacts. The tutorial includes a downloadable
Photoshop action.

The approach taken is similar to the one I use in the 'Deadman's Custom
Sharpen' action which some folks have been using for a while now. If you've
been using that action, this tutorial explains exactly how it works.

the url is

the process looks complex at first but is quite simple once you understand
it.
