AIUI the Adobe colour space has a wider gamut than sRGB and I think includes
all of sRGB.  I figure if I'm going to archive scans I might as well archive
a wider
gamut than a narrower one.  My images generally get converted to sRGB before
they are printed anyhow, because at this stage I generally print from
Paintshop Pro.

Nobody says you can't just use sRGB.  That choice is up to you. :)
