Re: filmscanners: Polaroid Rebate

I have an extended service agreement from Polaroid for my SS4000. I
needed to use it and basically it worked OK. I got the higher-priced
agreement that gets me a loaner scanner while they worked on mine, and
I'm glad I did -- it took nearly three weeks from the time I shipped my
scanner to them until I got it back. I was without a scanner for only
two days because they shipped me the loaner FedEx Next Day Delivery.

It cost $250/year so it's quite expensive compared to the new lower
retail price of the SS4000. I'll look closely at the cost when it's
time for me to re-up in October.

(BTW, anyone have any experiences to share about Mack service
agreements?)
