No, of raw (unmixed) pigment. It's a niggling difference, of course, but no
color is "pure" (not even light, because our eyes can't see the "end-bands"
at either side of the spectrum).

Your point is well made, though. "What we see is what we get," even from an
empirical standpoint. That's probably what makes the science of optics (and
the art of photography) so difficult.
