Расходятся accepts и handled requests

Здравствуйте.

Статус показывает вот такую картину:

Active connections: 4738
server accepts handled requests
 38611587 38389473 83505723 
Reading: 0 Writing: 590 Waiting: 4148 

nginx работает как кэширующая через proxy_store прокся.

Скажите пожалуйста, из-за чего могут расходиться accepts и handled?

FreeBSD 7.1-RELEASE-p2 amd64

nginx version: nginx/0.7.33
configure arguments: --prefix=/usr/local/etc/nginx --with-cc-opt=-I 
/usr/local/include --with-ld-opt=-L /usr/local/lib
