Owning the 5200F I had the same problem at first. My solution was IIRC
to ckeck the option you already discovered and then I could select
"Colour (48bit)" in the advanced mode. Unfortunately ScanGearCS does
not remember this setting so you have to do it every time you start
it. Very annoying.
