[filmscanners] Re: Interferences

Hi Håkon, Hi Bernie, Hi all

Of course nothing replaces the experience. The point is I'm planning…

Please tell me if I'm wrong:

I 've never unmounted my MMP scanner as it is still under warranty, but
it should be built as a faraday cage.

Eventual noise problems should come threw the cables, which are not
shielded, (that's for the close CRT monitor);
…and from the electricity itself, which should require electronic
filters to clean the signal.

Does anybody know how to shield a power and a firewire cable, and
should it allow some noise reduction? Can they remain close and
parallel?

Best regards
Didier
