I've used all three (SS4000) but unfortunately not with B&W film. In
summary: VueScan is great for negatives. Polacolor is OK, esp. with
slides. I don't know if anyone at Polaroid still maintains it (I
haven't seen any upgrades for quite some time). SilverFast is very good
with slides - I haven't tried to use the new IT8 color calibration
feature of VueScan but this works great for SilverFast! SilverFast
however has an awful interface, totally stupid documentation (the
English translation) and a pretty steep admission price.

Regards,
Petru.
