Not a stupid question at all. I think I heard once that the slide
feeder does not work with the LS-30. This is weird because the LS-30
and the LS-2000 have identical circuit boards, it's only the firmware
that is different.

I don't think anything will work. Why not buy a new scanner straight
away? Given the price of the feeder, it might be worth getting an
LS-4000 or so anyway...
