[filmscanners] Re: IV ED dynamic range

Alex,

According to Nikon's website, the LS400 has a Density Range of 4.2, whereas
the IV ED has a Density Range of 3.6.

Thanks for suggestion, but first of all I don't use Vuescan (tried it a
while ago, didn't like neither the result nor the interface).
Besides of that, I doubt there might be really discernable difference in
this manner between the IV ED and LS4000. Running both at 8 bit mode
(regular scan, no multisampling) both should produce similar results (I
don't think resolution differences can do something in regard of dynamic
range).
Am I wrong ?
