This banding is serious; is this consistent amongst all 8000's (i.e. does
anyone else have this) or is it limited to your unit?  That looks
unacceptable to say the least.<<


I've had banding on maybe a half dozen images out of hundreds scanned. When
banding does show up, I simply scan with super fine mode enabled, and the
banding is eliminated.

If you have a curved piece of film that doesn't scan sharply from edge to
edge, you can get their glass carrier (at extra cost) which works well.

All in all, the scans I get from the 8000 are better than I've gotten from
the SS120 or Imacon II.
