[filmscanners] Posts concerning Canon D2400U?

Hi all,

I have failed to save enough money to buy a medium format film
scanner.  As a result yesterday I bought a Canon D2400U 2400dpi, 6 ccd
line, flatbed scanner which has a cold cathode film head and masks to
4x5".

This post asks whether further posts from me would be welcomed
considering:

(a) The Canon is not capable of approaching the image quality of
dedicated film scanners.

(b) There is no Silverfast or Vuescan products yet for this scanner.
