[filmscanners] Epson 2450 on a Mac + Vuescan

Hi all

I've recently been trying to configure the Epson 2450 scanner with tranny
hood on a friends iMac but seem to be having a few problems.
Firstly I cannot get the scanner to scan a 2 1/4 square medium format
tranny. The holder accepts the tranny fine but will only scan a section of
the overall image regardless how I crop it. Any tips?

Secondly I cannot get Vuescan to see the scanner even though it is
supported. Could it be that the Epson scanner software has installed
something that is blocking Vuescan?

Any help appreciated.
