filmscanners: Do ICE, GEM tools change colour?

Hi to everyone,

I´ve bought one Nikon Coolscan 4000 ED and I want to scan my
negatives with Nikonscan 3.1 in RAW format in order to use
Nikon´s ICE and GEM tools and load them with the superb Ed´s
Vuescan program.
I have scanned one Kodacolor II film with NikonScan 3.1,
disconnected autoexposure and colour management. I have made
3 scans; first ICE(fine)+GEM(2), second ICE(fine) and third
none.
1. ICE(fine)+GEM(2) modify exposure and colour and when you
load the image into Vuescan with Kodacolor II parameters
you obtain a bluecast because NikonScan is modifing the orange
cast that Vuescan removes.

2. ICE(fine) doesn´t alter exposure when you load the image
into Vuescan, but colour is much saturated than with any tool
used.

3. None, lots of scratches but perfect colour accuracy.

Why is happening this? What should I do to obtain the same results
with ICE and GEM activated?

Best regards,

Dave
